Born and raised at the heart of Kilimanjaro, Jodras brings over three years of experience in the tourism sector to Master Safari Adventures. As the Managing Director and Office Manager, his intimate knowledge of Tanzania’s national parks and commitment to exceptional service ensure your dream safari is expertly planned and executed.
Whether you’re chasing the Great Migration across the Serengeti and Masai Mara, relaxing on the pristine beaches of Zanzibar, or tackling the majestic peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, Jodras is your go-to expert. He can guide you through the wonders of the Eastern Arc Mountains, including the Udzungwa and Kitulo – the latter, known as the “Garden of God,” resembles the Scottish Highlands more than equatorial Africa.
Jodras also specializes in the awe-inspiring Mahale Mountains National Park on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. This unique park offers rugged mountains, dense jungles, crystal-clear lake waters, and miombo savannas. Our Guide
Michael, a wildlife photographer’s best friend, is renowned for his exceptionally sharp eyes and unparalleled guiding skills. His expertise in positioning and timing allows for perfect shots without disturbing the animals or drawing attention from other vehicles. Born in Olasiti village in the Arusha region of northern Tanzania, Michael is fluent in three languages: Swahili, Maasai, and English. His communication skills enrich the safari experience, allowing him to connect effortlessly with travelers from around the world. Michael’s deep knowledge of photography ensures that guests leave with stunning images capturing the unforgettable moments of their Tanzanian adventure.
With a comprehensive understanding of local wildlife, Michael remains endlessly fascinated by the creatures he encounters, particularly the leopard, his favorite animal to observe. He admires the leopard’s intelligence, often sharing captivating insights such as how they hoist prey into trees to safeguard it from other predators. Michael’s appreciation for the subtleties of animal behavior is reflected in his ability to guide photographers in capturing these moments beautifully.
With eight years of guiding experience, Michael’s passion for the Serengeti National Park and Tanzania’s other national parks remains undiminished. Having lived in this environment since birth, he loves sharing his lifetime of knowledge with visitors, offering a truly enriching and educational experience.
Michael is also known for his joyful spirit and talents beyond guiding. He loves to dance, bringing his energy and enthusiasm to every safari, making each trip memorable and fun. His favorite holiday is New Year, a time he enjoys celebrating with guests and locals alike.

Mapesa, whose name means “money” in Swahili, embodies a profound connection to the captivating landscapes and wildlife of Tanzania. Born in the picturesque region of Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Mapesa’s roots run deep in this land of natural wonders.
Fluent in English, Swahili, and Chagga, Mapesa effortlessly bridges language gaps between locals and international travelers, enriching the safari experience for everyone.
Favorite Food: Ugali with Nyama Choma
Guiding since 2009, Mapesa’s extensive experience offers travelers a seasoned perspective on the marvels of his homeland. His wealth of knowledge as a guide has not only made him a reliable and insightful companion but also someone who deeply understands the diverse landscapes and wildlife of this remarkable country.
Among Tanzania’s many wonders, Mapesa has a particular affinity for the big male lion with its majestic mane. The sight of these powerful creatures in their natural habitat never fails to captivate him and his clients.

Climbing Instructor
Locally born and raised, Lazaro is one of our expert Kilimanjaro climbing guides. Having climbed the Roof of Africa countless times, Lazaro recalls summiting the mountain twenty-three times in his first year as a porter. His passion for climbing led him to pursue formal training, and he earned his Mountain Guide certificate from Mweka.
With seven years of experience, Lazaro is not only a seasoned climber but also a voracious reader, intensely proud of Africa and its natural beauty. His advice to aspiring climbers?
“Millions of people have made it to the top. Why can’t you?”

Climbing Instructor
With over twenty years of experience as a Kilimanjaro climbing guide, Dickson brings a wealth of stories and an intimate knowledge of Africa’s highest mountain. He prides himself on doing whatever it takes to get his clients safely to the top, and on maintaining connections with them even after they have returned home.
Favorite Story from the Mountain:
“I had an American client who had a new sleeping bag for the climb, but he had never used it. On the first night, he came to me and said he couldn’t climb anymore because his sleeping bag was not warm enough. When he showed me, I couldn’t help but laugh. He hadn’t opened the sleeping bag and was just trying to sleep under it like a blanket!”
